According to the pilot, while landing at an unfamiliar airport, he landed with excessive airspeed and touched down too far down the runway to safely stop. The airplane subsequently departed the grass runway and impacted a fence. The airplane sustained substantial damage to both wings. The pilot reported that there were no preimpact mechanical malfunctions or failures that would have precluded normal operation.
