The pilot reported that during the landing roll he applied excessive braking action to correct for the airplane swerving due to the crosswind condition. The airplane subsequently nosed over substantially damaging the wings, vertical stabilizer, and rudder. The pilot reported no preimpact mechanical malfunctions or failures with the airframe or engine that would have precluded normal operation.
