On 14 April 2011, at about 08:30 local, a Ryanair Boeing 737-800 and an American Airlines Boeing 767-300 collided while taxiing to runway 25L for takeoff at Barcelona Airport, Barcelona, Spain. The collision was not noticed by either flight crew until after landing at their destination when the damage was observed during the post flight inspection. There were no injuries to the passengers or crewmembers onboard either airplane.The investigation is being conducted by the Spanish Comisión de Investigación de Accidentes e Incidentes de Aviación Civil. The NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the investigation under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13 as the State of Manufacture, Design and Registry.
