The pilot stated that during a take-off from a 2,000-foot private strip, he was looking at a hay bale on the left side of the airplane when the right wingtip struck a hay bale. The airplane sustained substantial damage to the airframe and the right wing. The pilot reported that there were no mechanical malfunctions during the flight.
