During the landing roll on the dry grass strip, the pilot relaxed elevator pressure from the control stick before applying brakes and the airplane nosed over, coming to rest inverted. The airplane sustained substantial damage to the left wing, vertical stabilizer and the rudder. The pilot reported there were no preimpact mechanical malfunctions or failures with the airframe or the engine that would have precluded normal operation. The pilot reported that he should not have released elevator back pressure before coming to a complete stop.
