On April 1, 2014, about 1340 local time, a Cessna T210L, single engine airplane, N732JY, was destroyed after impacting mountainous terrain near San Marcos, Guatemala. The pilot and passenger were fatally injured. About 1318 the airplane departed from Tapachula International Airport (MMTP), Tapachula, Mexico and had filed a visual flight rules flight plan to Roatán/Juan Manuel Gálvez International Airport (MHRO), Roatán, Guatemala. The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the government of Guatemala.
