The pilot reported that he landed at a private snow covered airstrip. After landing, while taxiing to parking, the right main landing gear broke through the snow crust and the airplane flipped inverted, which substantially damaged the vertical stabilizer. The pilot reported no preimpact mechanical malfunctions or failures with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.
The pilot reported that during an instructional flight in the tailwheel equipped airplane, upon touchdown, his application of right rudder control was too aggressive and the airplane subsequently ground looped.
