The pilot reported that while landing on a gravel road, the right main tire sank into soft terrain along the right side of the road. Subsequently, the airplane nosed over and came to rest inverted. During the accident sequence, the airplane sustained substantial damage to the upper wings and vertical stabilizer.
The pilot reported that there were no preaccident mechanical failures or malfunctions with the airplane that precluded normal operation.
